Event Description
Does episodic memory retrieval have its own brain network?
Recollection of information about a recently experienced episode is associated with elevated fMRI BOLD signal in a characteristic, broadly distributed set of neural regions. I will argue that these regions comprise a specific functional brain network (the 'core recollection network', present data that speak to possible functions of the different members of the network, and discuss the relationship between the network and other large-scale brain networks.
