Witten to Receive 2017 Daniel X. Freedman Award

Assistant Professor Ilana Witten will receive the 2017 Daniel X. Freedman Award.

The Daniel X. Freedman Prize for Exceptional Basic Research is presented annually by the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation to recognize the NARSAD young investigator who has made the most significant advances in basic research related to mental health.  

Professor Witten's research has implications for understanding the mechanisms of drug addiction and other brain disorders.
